“I am highly recommending Kelly McLean both as a human being, and as an extremely capable, intelligent, reliable person. Kelly worked with my mother, Mary Lou Miller for a year in 2012. My mother has dementia, and had just broken her hip and suffered the loss of her husband, my stepfather, two years previous, when Kelly agreed to visit twice a week and take my mother to whatever events she wanted. My mother was a highly respected health professional in the AIDS community in Vancouver, having worked on the needle exchange and as a researcher for BC Centre for Excellence. Before this she had been head nurse at Toronto’s Hospital for Sick Children. She is a well-read, intelligent woman with a lot of pride, and someone who had actively never wanted to be in the position she found herself in, needing help, and losing some of her cognitive abilities.
Kelly made a wonderful connection with my mother right of the gate. Her quiet, calm, attentive, perceptive and sensitive demeanor made my mother feel instantly at ease with accepting her help, and actively look forward to their time together. My mother misses Kelly to this day.
Anyone that hires Kelly McLean is lucky indeed. I cannot recommend her highly enough. ”

“When Mum was diagnosed with dementia/Alzheimer's we as a family were overwhelmed by all the changes in our lives and struggled to adapt. Luckily we were given a recommendation by our contact at Alzheimer's Society of BC to reach out to Kelly McLean Geriatric Care for care companion services for Mum. To say that Kelly has been a perfect fit with my Mum is an understatement! Mum looks forward to each and every outing with Kelly as they both enjoy each other's company and Mum thrives in the outdoors. I believe that the time she spends with Kelly is making a huge difference in her quality of life as Kelly is calm, compassionate and qualified to work with Mum's disease and we feel she brings out the best in Mum. As an additional benefit I feel less stressed knowing that Mum is happy and getting the exercise and positive stimulation that she needs.”

“Kelly McLean has been providing care to my mother Grace for just over a year. Unequivocally Kelly is a stand out! Mom had received care from others but her experience, or for that matter, our experience with Kelly has, and continues to be, exceptional. Mom is very happy with Kelly, and I mean that she is HAPPY. Her health has improved as a result. She enjoys spirited conversation, and companionship as they go to Doctors visit's, shopping etc and Kelly makes these experiences, not tolerable but enjoyable. Kelly recently encouraged Mom to resume painting. She calls Kelly "a gem" and that's meant as the most respectful compliment. Kelly understands Mom wonderfully and is keenly aware of Moms frailty. Mom reiterates how careful and attentive Kelly is and she feels very safe with her.
My family could not recommend Kelly more highly and feel very blessed that she is in our lives.”
